Faulkner County Court Record Requests
Search first, then request. Open Search ARCourts. Pull the case number, court, caption, document title, and filing date for any Faulkner County court docket you need. With that in hand, go to the office holding the file. The Faulkner County Circuit Clerk holds the records. It handles Circuit Court criminal, civil, domestic-relations, probate, juvenile, and district-appeal records. Conway, Greenbrier, Guy, Mayflower, and Vilonia District Court departments each retain their own district files.
- Identify the case number, court location, caption, target document, and approximate filing date.
- Review the public docket and any available image in Search ARCourts.
- Call the Circuit Clerk or correct District Court department to confirm custody, page count, copy type, cost, payment, and delivery.
- Request in person at the proper counter or ask the custodian how to send a mail or fax request. No dedicated Circuit copy email or fixed mail format is published.
- State whether a plain, certified, or authenticated copy is needed, then retain the clerk's receipt and certification.
Call before you mail anything. The Circuit Clerk answers at 501-450-4911 and takes faxes at 501-450-4948. The counter sits at 724 Locust Avenue, Conway, AR 72034. Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday except holidays. No standard turnaround or copy-payment method is promised. A quick phone call saves trouble later.
Faulkner County Three-Layer Court Records
Three layers, three different things. A Faulkner County docket is the permanent chronological index of court activity in a case. An online image is an actual pleading, order, or notice, linked from the portal when one exists. A clerk-issued copy is different from both. It comes straight from the office that holds the file and can carry plain, certified, or authenticated treatment. One more caution applies here. Search ARCourts prints arrive watermarked as unofficial.
| Layer | What it provides | Use |
|---|---|---|
| Docket Entries | Dates and short descriptions in sequence | Locate activity and document names |
| Public image | An available online pleading, order, or notice | Read the filed content |
| Clerk copy | Plain, certified, or authenticated copy | Obtain official treatment from the custodian |
The Circuit Clerk forms and resources page shows filing aids that are separate from copies of an existing case.
View the official clerk resource source for local forms and links.
Filing tools help, but the clerk still fills requests for existing Circuit Court records.
Kinds of Court Records
What a file holds depends on the court. Faulkner County Circuit Court cases can include criminal, civil, domestic-relations, probate, juvenile, and appealed district matters. District Court files cover misdemeanor, traffic, preliminary felony, limited civil, and small-claims proceedings in the department that heard the case. Access varies by record and case type.
- Docket sheets and chronological Docket Entries
- Complaints, answers, motions, and responses
- Notices, orders, judgments, decrees, and disposition sheets
- Public offense, sentence, or financial data recorded in the case system
- Available exhibits and attachments, subject to access limits
- Transcripts prepared through the assigned court reporter, not as an ordinary clerk copy
Don't confuse the offices. The Faulkner County Clerk is a separate office for county government and quorum-court records, and its probate-related fees do not make it the keeper of Circuit Court probate files. Identify the case and confirm custody before sending funds.
Faulkner County Older Court Records
Missing online does not mean gone. The Circuit Clerk reports three separate milestones for older Faulkner County court records. Public online Circuit records reach January 1, 2009. Case scans reach 2000. Order scans reach 1997. Keep those dates apart. A 2004 case may sit in the office scan archive. Ordinary public web results may show nothing. Call with the case number, caption, target filing, and date estimate. Ask where the item lives: online, in the internal scan archive, or in paper storage. Anything older is retrieved case by case. No official source promises a standard turnaround, electronic delivery, or a lobby terminal. Nor does any promise that every public image is online.
Archive point: “Not online” does not mean “no Faulkner County court record.” The clerk's internal scan coverage extends deeper than the public portal.
Court Records: What They Contain
A full Faulkner County case view can hold several kinds of data. The header identifies the file. Participants and roles show who appears in the public record. Case Events track scheduled activity. Docket Entries form the chronological filing log. Public document links appear only where the court has made an image available.
| Case header | Case number, filing date, court and location, case type, status, and caption. |
|---|---|
| Participants | Public names, party roles, aliases, and attorneys when available. |
| Pleadings | Filed complaints, petitions, answers, motions, responses, or charging instruments. |
| Orders and judgments | Signed rulings and final or interim court action. |
| Docket sheet | Chronological entries with date, time, description, detail, and linked document where available. |
| Events | Scheduled activity, date, status, and history; full time or room may be in a notice. |
| Security markers | Sealed or confidential controls that suppress protected content. |
A docket line is not the signed order. When the actual terms matter, request the judgment or order itself.
Faulkner County Transcript Records
A transcript is its own product, not a docket sheet or filed order. The assigned court reporter prepares the verbatim record. A separate process and fee structure apply. The Arkansas court-reporter directory names the reporter for the division. Start there and ask about scope, estimate, and delivery. Exhibits carry their own handling and access limits. Ask the clerk or court about each item. Was it admitted, retained, returned, sealed, or open to inspection? A docket entry that mentions an exhibit does not put it online. The same caution covers audio and working materials. Forms are different too. The statewide forms catalog offers cover sheets, confidential information sheets, disposition sheets, and appellate materials. Those are filing tools rather than copies of a past record.
Copy Fees and Certification
The Faulkner County Circuit Clerk publishes a plain-copy rate plus a certification or authentication charge. A certified copy bears the clerk's formal attestation. An authenticated copy gets the treatment the office provides under its published item. Whether certification stacks on top of per-page charges is not stated. Ask for a complete estimate up front.
| Item | Published amount | Caution |
|---|---|---|
| Plain copy | $0.50 per page | Ask about page count, postage, and remote delivery |
| Certified or authenticated copy | $5.00 | Confirm whether this is added to page charges |

Faulkner County Court Record Paths
Judicial case copies and county administrative records follow different paths. A complaint, order, docket, or certified judgment should ordinarily go to the filing court's clerk. Faulkner County's general Arkansas Freedom of Information Act route is designed for county administrative records and accepts an online form, telephone, fax, mail, and hand delivery.
The county records-request page describes those general channels.
Review the official county request-method source before choosing the administrative route.
The listed methods are useful for county records, but a judicial case filing still starts with its court clerk.
The county's NextRequest portal is its online submission channel.
See the official NextRequest source for county-government requests.
Access through the portal does not make the County Civil Attorney the keeper of Circuit Court case files.
Access Rules for Court Records
One rule governs access to judiciary files: Arkansas Supreme Court Administrative Order 19. It opens most court records to the public. Some material stays off limits, though. That happens whenever federal law, a state statute, a court rule, or a court order protects it. Social Security numbers, account numbers, personal identification numbers, and sealed or expunged information all fall in that protected category. Court notes or drafts belong there too.
Key Rules:
Administrative Order 19 sets the starting rules for public access and exclusions in Arkansas court records.
Arkansas Rule of Civil Procedure 5(c)(2) requires confidential identifiers to be omitted or redacted from public filings.
Arkansas Code § 25-19-105 supports public-record inspection and copy channels, while judiciary case files remain governed first by court access rules.
Redaction leaves its own marks. Where something was cut, public copies may show "[Information Redacted]," "[I.R.]," "[Confidential]," or "[Subject To Protective Order]." A fully redacted document keeps its name and page count in the public file, unless the law shields the record's very existence. Sealed criminal and confidential juvenile material may stay out of public search results entirely.
Faulkner County Compiled Court Records
A request for one Faulkner County case record is different from a request for compiled court data. Arkansas Administrative Office of the Courts uses a separate Administrative Order 19 process for aggregate or recurring information. Certain compiled traffic, criminal, civil, probate, or domestic data can require forms, a license agreement, a performance bond, or an affidavit tied to an approved purpose.
The AOC data-request page explains the separate channel.
View the official AOC request overview when the goal is a dataset rather than one court file.
The overview routes bulk court information away from an ordinary clerk copy order.
The exact compiled-information request form captures the formal submission.
Inspect the official compiled request form source before preparing that application.
The form draws a clear line. Compiled data is its own access path, not a wider Search ARCourts query. Chasing one Faulkner County case? Start with the Faulkner County Docket Search, then take the document details straight to the clerk who holds the court docket.
